My Books at COSTCO!

My town just got a COSTCO last month, which was of course very exciting! (COSTCO is just like SAMS Club except not owned by Walmart, and with $1.50 hotdogs.)

As exciting as this was, it was not nearly as exciting as what happened this month: they got my book! Yes, available now at (so far as I know) every COSTCO in America is a special edition boxed set of all three of my chemistry books, The Elements, Molecules, and Reactions, in paperback form.

I always considered seeing my book in an airport bookstore to be the ultimate form of validation. That hasn’t happened yet, but this is even better, because COSTCO carries very few books (maybe a hundred titles?), so being there means way less competition than in a typical bookstore. And thus correspondingly more validation.

The bad news is that if your town is not yet blessed with a COSTCO, I don’t know of any way for you to get this boxed set. I can’t find it listed on their website, and because this was a special print run just for them, it’s not available anywhere else. I can’t even get copies to sell on my website. (I do offer my own non-boxed set of all three books in hardcover form here: https://home.theodoregray.com/bookproducts/autographed-and-gift-wrapped-trilogy-of-the-elements-molecules-and-reactions)
